Shaye L. Erskine

Shaye earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2024 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She was called to the bar in 2025 and has since practiced exclusively in Family Law.

Shaye assists clients with a wide range of family law matters, including divorce and separation, cohabitation and prenuptial agreements, parenting arrangements, support, and property division. She represents clients in both the Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench, working through litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes. Her experience also includes urgent applications such as Emergency Protection Orders and Restraining Orders

Shaye approaches her work with compassion, diligence, and strong attention to detail. She values helping parties reach resolutions that serve their interests while prioritizing the well-being of their families. Committed to making a meaningful impact, Shaye combines strong research skills with a thoughtful understanding of the complexities of family law as she continues to build her legal career. In her spare time, Shaye also volunteers for the YW Calgary free family law advice clinic.
