Karin focuses on the out-of-court negotiation and settlement of family law matters.

Karin is an Arbitrator, Mediator, Collaborative Divorce Lawyer, Parenting Coordinator as well as a Child Support Resolution Program Officer at the Court of King’s Bench. She has extensive mediation, arbitration and collaborative divorce training, including high conflict mediation through the ADR Institute of Alberta and her arbitration certification through the National Family Law Arbitration Course. Karin also has considerable experience in Court advocating for clients when necessary. Additionally, Karin has been a lecturer/speaker for the Legal Education Society of Alberta on Family Law issues and practice. Karin has been recognized by Best Lawyers for her work as Family Law lawyer and for Family Law Mediation. 

Karin received her Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Distinction) from McGill University in 2003, Law Degree from Dalhousie University in 2006, and has practiced exclusively in family law in Alberta since 2007. 

Karin is passionate about all areas of Family Law and truly cares about her clients. She ensures the people and families she works with are fully informed on all their options, provides resources, and includes them in every step of the process. 

Outside of work, you can find Karin at a local library or bookstore or trying to keep up with her young daughter.
