Crystal has been practicing family law since 2001. She is a mediator, arbitrator, and collaborative professional. Crystal always attempts to utilize all alternatives to litigation to best meet her client’s goals and interests. However, sometimes litigation is necessary to best protect her clients and their children’s interests. Crystal is an active litigation lawyer and has had several noteworthy successful appeals.
Crystal serves on the Canadian Bar Association Family Law Executive and as a Dispute Resolution Officer at the Court of Queen’s Bench. She was a long-time instructor for the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education and is a past board Member and Treasurer for the Association of Collaborative Professionals. Crysal has written and presented for the Legal Education Society of Alberta on Top Five Family Law Cases in Alberta – Spousal Support, and has been a Contributor to the Legal Education Society of Alberta Family Law Practice Manual, Guest Lecturer – University of Calgary, Faculty of Law, Advanced Family Law, Volunteer Lawyer and Instructor – Calgary Legal Guidance Past Instructor – Parenting After Separation Seminar.
